CAREER

During his 50-year career, Pesce served as an architect, urban planner and influential industrial designer. Much of his design philosophy is considered humanistic and inventive-- defined by bold colors and diverse materials. Through his work, Pesce reexamined the relationship between art, the individual and society as it existed in the 20th century.

 

The New York Times once desicribed Pesce as "the architectural equivilant of a brainstorm." His buildings still stand in many locations around the world like Paris, France and Osaka, Japan. His pieces are included in collections belonging to esteemed instutions like MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
